COVID-19: What can you do?

During this unique time, many of us are asking ourselves, "What can I do?". In times of uncertainty it is easy to fill our hearts with worry and anxiety. We pray that you take the suggested precautions for health and safety at this time, and then turn to God in prayer, He is always with us.

What you can do:

Make an Act of Spiritual Communion
Call your elderly neighbors
Maintain Social Distancing
Follow along with updates from the CDC and WHO
Avoid Fear and Panic. We are a people of trust

These are new and unsure times for everyone in our country and world. It is of utmost importance to keep our faith alive and maintain a connection with our brothers and sisters.

The following information will provide helpful details regarding Masses, devotions and prayers you can still participate in at Sts. Peter and Paul, as well as some resources to help you stay spiritually connected even if you cannot participate in Mass.

My faith in person:

Daily Mass will still be celebrated Monday through Friday at 8:00 a.m. and 12:10 p.m.
Weddings will continue to be celebrated.
Funeral Masses will be held as needed.
Baptism preparation classes will be held every 3rd Tuesday in Spanish and every 4th Tuesday in English @ 7:00 p.m.
Baptisms will be Saturdays @ 9:30 a.m.
Lenten Stations of the Cross will be held Wednesdays @ 3:00 p.m. and Fridays @ 7:00 p.m.
Circle of Mary will be held Thursdays @ 9:00 p.m.

Ways to be spiritually connected and continue to grow in faith:

In light of the growing concern over the spread of the coronavirus, ALL religious education classes on Sunday morning and Monday evening have been canceled. However, we are working hard to keep you connected to God and your parish community.

For ALL students preparing to receive the Sacrament of Holy Eucharist, we will prepare and send a lesson, in English and Spanish, electronically each week. We are also working on a way for books to be picked up so you may continue to work with your child at home. These lessons will also be available on our website, sppnb.org.

An online class will be conducted each week for Adult Confirmation on Thursdays from 6:30 pm-8:00 pm and for RCIA Inquiry on Sundays from 12:30 pm-1:45 pm. Links will be sent to the attendees to sign-in online or call in to join the conversation and teaching.

For all RCIA Catechumenate and Candidates, we are working on a similar online format to keep the conversation and formation going.

Youth Ministry Classes (Edge, Chosen, Life Teen) are cancelled for the remainder of the academic year. Make sure to follow @sppyouth on social media for fun links, videos and resources to help make this time of social distancing spiritually engaging.

Confirmation Preparation (Chosen) will have an on-line format that will provide Confirmandi online catechetical preparation for their Confirmation. Details will be provided to families later this week.

Students in Sacramental Preparation will also receive an online format to complete their lessons. If online is not a feasible option, take home lessons will be provided for pick up.

Young Adult Ministry is temporarily pausing Bible Study and any other formal gatherings.

Currently, we are not able to provide information concerning Masses, Confirmations, etc. Please know we will provide information as it becomes available.

Many are concerned about the future due to finances and family incomes, and we share those concerns with you. MANTENIÉNDOSE CONECTADOS A LA PARROQUIA DE SAN PEDRO Y SAN PABLO DURANTE EL BROTE DEL CORONAVIRUS

Estos son tiempos nuevos e inseguros para todos en nuestro país y mundo. Es de suma importancia mantener viva nuestra fe y mantener una conexión con nuestros hermanos y hermanas.

La siguiente información proporcionará detalles útiles sobre misas, devociones y oraciones en las que aún puede participar en San Pedro y San Pablo, así como algunos recursos para ayudarle a mantenerse espiritualmente conectado incluso si no puede participar en la Misa.
