Our classes begin mid-September and run through mid-April. Catechists plan and teach classes each week throughout the year. Some teach by themselves but others have a co-catechist. We offer many resources (printed, digital, and human) to reach all the different types of learners: visual, auditory, readers and hands-on. Catechist Job Description

The Catechetical Formation Series is an online catechist training resource by Loyola Press. The series consists of 10 learning sessions that are accompanied by downloadable documents that invite you to apply concepts learned in the session to your ministry experience. These session will help educate and train the person new to the role of catechist as well as a solid refresher course for the veteran catechist. Use the link to access the online series. Digital Library Access for Loyola Press

FindingGod.com – Register as a catechist using Finding God. The access code is fg-2021.  A wide variety of online support is available such as:

• a three-minute prayer to start your focus on the lesson;
• your lesson plan that can be modified;
• lesson can be saved and sent to a partner or substitute;
• over 500 additional class ideas identified by grade;
• ideas for classroom activities tied to the Sunday readings.
