All Sacramental Preparation will be done on Sunday nights for high school and Monday nights for middle school, so attendance is a requirement.
This includes Confirmation students.
Registration is open until October 6th 2024, it will reopen January 2025.
✔ Be in at least 10th grade at the time of Confirmation
✔Attend Sunday Mass weekly
✔ Attend an overnight retreat
✔ Complete 30 hours of service
✔ Submit copy of Baptism Certificate
✔ Complete a Personal Interview
✔ Receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation
✔ Complete second year Confirmation curriculum
✔ Establish a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
✔ Attend Sunday Mass weekely. (Will be part of their attendance)
✔ Attend Sunday Night Programming
✔ Start researching Saints
✔ Good class attendance - No more than three absences (make up lessons will be given for more than 3 classes missed)
✔ Begin working on service hours
✔ Begin thinking of a sponsor
✔ Telephone call to sponsor
✔ Good Class Attendance - No more than three absences
✔ Attend a Confirmation retreat or
Teen ACTS retreat
✔ Personal Interview
✔ Attend Sunday Mass weekely. (Will be part of their attendance)
✔ Reconciliation on retreat
✔ Complete service hours by April 2
If the sponsor cannot, a parent should attend in their place.
To parents of older Confirmation Candidates:
If your son or daughter starts the program in 10th grade,
he or she will be confirmed in the 11th grade.
If your son or daughter starts the program in 11th grade,
he or she will be confirmed in the 12th grade.
Any 12th grader who needs the Sacrament of Confirmation will attend our Confirmation program on Sunday evenings and will be confirmed in that year providing he or she completes all other requirements, especially attendance.
Please consult with the Youth Ministry office to determine readiness and preparation for Confirmation for any student who begins after the 9th grade.
Our teachers and deacons will conduct confirmation interviews in the spring. Before entering this final phase of preparation for Confirmation, students will be required to submit a copy of their baptismal and first communion certificates, sponsor information, and any other requested documentation.
